I recently had a New Hip replacement performed by Mr Vats. It is now 7 weeks since my operation and I am now free from pain and walking around as I used to. I cannot praise him enough as he has given me a new lease of life. He was so pleasant and explained everything in detail to me both from the x rays and what the operation involved. I would highly recommend him to my friends who are desperately in need of an excellent orthopaedic surgeon.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting to discuss a knee issue with Mr Amit Vats. He was running late due to traffic but took the time to call me and suggest I didn't attend the hospital until he was guaranteed to be there. I was seen as soon as I arrived and he took the time to listen to all my issues and past medical history. On his suggestion I had an x-ray whilst in the hospital which instantly revealed the reasons for my knee problem. He did not push for any unnecessary treatment. Overall it was a very informative visit with a very competent specialist.

Iam very grateful to Mr Vats for performing both my hip replacements with in six months of each other and would recommend him. I can not fault the whole operation at Ashford, from the nursing care, to the help and advice from Physio. I even appreciated being tactfully told by Mr Vats at my post opp. appointment today that I needed to concentrate on my exercises more!

Mr Vats made me feel very comfortable, he answered all my questions fully and at no time did I feel rushed. He went out of his way to explain the concerns I had in a pleasant and friendly manor. I have to have further surgery on my other knee and am insistent that he be the surgeon to carry out this work mainly because I am so pleased with the result of this one. A true gentleman, many thanks.

Left hip replacement. I could not fault Mr Vats in any way. He did an excellent job, explained everything in detail and answered any questions I had. This goes for all his staff on the Dickens ward.
